Serving the community is our passion at Hope Whitby, and during the winter months we started a ‘warm space’ to help people struggling with both heating costs and the ever-rising cost of living, as well as those who feel lonely.
Running each Thursday morning, 9-11am at the Penny Hedge restaurant, you can come along to enjoy a free breakfast, hot drinks, a chat and the option to take away a food hamper provided by our food bank ‘Malachi Storehouse.’ There is also the option to get stuck into a new course with ‘Multiply North Yorkshire’ or discuss any financial questions with our ‘Community First Credit Union’ manager.
This has become quite popular over the last few months, and it is a place that many love to come and meet new people, bring their children and generally have a good catch up over a fresh croissant and a lovely coffee. So much so that we now run this group year-round and have formed some wonderful friendships. It is an incredibly welcoming and relaxed morning, so why not come along and see for yourself!
